HASTINGS, Minn.—The Bethel University women's golf team concluded the 2016-17 season Saturday afternoon at the shortened Carleton Invitational. The Royals fired an 18-hole score of 332 at the par-73 Bellwood Oaks Golf Course, but Sunday's round was cancelled due to anticipated weather, so the team finished alone in sixth place.
Christine Piwnica led BU with a score of 78, which tied for third among all 68 golfers. Right behind her was
Katie Engelking, who posted an 82, and
Abby Perrenoud, who carded an 85.
Hannah Williams rounded out Bethel's Top 4 scores with an 87 and
Kalyn Root fired a 90.
The Royals also brought a second team of
Kayla Ruf, Kirsten Olsen,
Haley Prewitt,
Shayla Norgaard, and
Lindsey McAlpin. Together, this group fired an 18-hole score of 372.
