Box Score WAVERLY, IOWA—The Bethel University volleyball team took their three-game win streak into Iowa Saturday for a nonconference match against Wartburg College. Not only did the Royals (13-7, 3-3 MIAC) have a three-game win streak, but also a win over the Knights (14-5, 3-1 IIAC) already this season. Wartburg proved that neither of those things mattered, though, as the Knights handed Bethel a 3-1 setback.

BU dropped the opening set 19-25, but came back to even the match with a 25-21 victory in the second. The Royals overcame an early 10-5 deficit in the third and held a 24-22 and 26-25 lead, but multiple 3-0 runs for the Knights down the stretch gave Wartburg a 28-26 victory. The hosting Knights then closed out the match with a 25-21 win in the fourth and final frame.

Bethel posted 68.0 points on 52 kills, seven aces, and nine blocks throughout the match. In addition, the Royals also recorded 49 assists and 58 digs.

Leading BU on offense was
Brooke Olstad, who tallied 11 kills and three errors on 22 attempts (.364), while
Carlee Hoppe finished with 10 kills and four errors on 32 attempts (.188) as well as 11 digs.

Holly Ellwanger was spectacular in all facets, as the sophomore setter finished with eight kills, 32 assists, and eight digs. Ellwanger's sidekick at the setter position,
Katie Lubben, finished with 12 assists. Leading the Royals in the back row was
Dominique Dabu, who collected 12 digs.

Six members of the Wartburg squad recorded 11 kills or more with a minimum attacking percentage of .226.
