The Bethel University softball team will participate in their second consecutive MIAC Playoffs today, as they take on the University of St. Thomas in the first round of the postseason. The Royals made it all the way to the championship game one year ago and look to do the same in 2014. Coming in as the No. 4 seed, Bethel finished the regular season 14-8 in conference play and 23-16 overall. All necessary tournament information can be seen below.


 


Parking
Augsburg: All spectators and/or team vans should park in Lot L (the large lot near the athletic field)—no permit needed. Street parking is available as posted. 

Macalester: Team vans or fans can park in the Leonard Center Lot or the Janet Wallace Lot without a permit. There is street and neighborhood parking available as well.
 
Tickets
$7 adult, $3 student (no senior discount, 5 and under free). This is a daily fee. MIAC Passes are the only pass that will be honored. Macalester and Augsburg will staff workers to sell admission and control gate entry (black MIAC stamps will be used on day one at both sites).
 
Live Stats / Webcast
Augsburg will be providing a live video stream and live statistics, Macalester will be providing live audio and live statistics – both through the MIAC portal.

2014 MIAC Softball Playoff Schedule
Four-team, double elimination, 7-inning (Friday, Saturday) playoff will take place one week prior to NCAA Regionals. Augsburg and Macalester serve as the host institutions.
 
Friday, May 2
Game 1: #1 St. Thomas vs #4 Bethel, 3:00pm (Macalester)
Game 2: #2 Gustavus vs #3 Saint Benedict, 3:00pm (Augsburg)
Game 3: Winner game 1 vs Winner game 2, 5:30pm (Macalester)
Game 4: Loser game 1 vs Loser game 2, 5:30pm (Augsburg)
