Larissa Voss had the closest match in the No. 5 spot in singles play. The two-plus hour match resulted in a 4-6, 5-7 loss for Voss, despite playing very well.
Kourtney Jakubic also had a hard fought contest with a very close first set, but could not pull out the W and was overcome 5-7, 1-6.
The No. 1 doubles team composed of
Abby Edin and
Amanda Johnson as well as No. 3 duo
Kristin Vivian and
Madeline Simpson endured competitive challenges, but the pairs were each overwhelmed by the Wildcats, 4-8.
"Our main goal is to keep on getting better everyday and continue to fight as hard as we can. I am proud of the effort that our girls put forward everyday," concluded Fernelius. "We also are looking forward to playing some outdoor tennis in Florida and then coming back and start to get some MIAC wins."
