BOX SCORE
ST. PAUL, Minn. - The Royals entered their second MIAC match of 2011 looking to rebound after a difficult loss against Augsburg earlier in the week. Thanks to a game winning goal from the freshman
Jeremy Tan (Little Canada, Minn.) the Royals returned to their winning way defeating Hamline 1-0. The victory improves Bethel's overall record to 5-1-1.
In a highly defensive match the Royals out shot the Piper 8-5. Senior goal keeper
Leif Sundberg (Mahtomedi, Minn.) shutout any hopes that Hamline had of scoring as he had three saves.
Tan had three of Bethel's eight shots. The Royals offense also saw major contributions from
Martin Manocchio (So., Ausin, Minn.), who had three shots as well.
The Bethel men will have a few days off from play as they do not return to play until next Saturday when they travel to Winona to take on Saint Mary's.
