BOX SCORE
ARDEN HILLS, Minn – Wednesday evening at the Robertson Center, the Bethel Royals disposed of the St. Olaf Oles to clinch a MIAC play-off berth. Thanks to some clutch shooting down the stretch, the Royals held onto lead to take the game 55-45 against the Oles.
Both teams battled throughout the first half, with neither team ever getting a definitive lead. By the time the ending buzzer sounded, the game was at a 27-27 stalemate entering into half time.
The game remained close throughout the majority of the second half as well. The back and forth affair finally came to a halt around with four minutes remaining in regulation. From that point on, the Royals went on an 11-2 run to close out the game and also the Oles.
Scotti Moats (So., Waconia, Minn.) had another exceptional night leading the team with 16 points and 9 rebounds. Almost equally as good as Moats was
Shana Grejtak (Sr., Franklin, Minn.) who finished with 14 points and 8 rebounds.
With the win, the Royals now move to 12-9 in the conference and 14-10 overall. They will finish out regular season play this Saturday at the Robertson Center where they will be taking on the Macalester Fighting Scots. Tip-off is scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
