DULUTH, Minn.
- Chris Scott (So., Cedar, Minn.) recorded a shutout, which is the team's fourth in a row, and the Bethel Royals went on to defeat the UW-Superior Yellowjackets on the road behind a goal from David Kim (Jr., Blaine, Minn.) and great defensive play.

Bethel (7-1-2) headed north this Homecoming weekend looking to refine their game with a majority of the MIAC season still ahead of them. The Royals matched a traditionally physical team by playing stifling defense in the shutout. The Yellowjackets managed to outshoot the Royals 17 to eight, but failed to get anything past Scott.

"Chris played a fantastic game for us in net," said Head Coch Jeremy Iwaszkowiec. "He made five great saves, including saving a penalty kick in the 65th minute, which was huge."

The only scoring of the game came by way of a penalty kick in the 44th minute, just before halftime. Kim scored his eighth goal of the season, which provided Bethel with all the offense they would both get and need.

The Royals have but one blemish on their record - a loss to last season's conference playoff champions. They return to the friendly confines of the Ona Orth Athletic Complex to take on Macalester this coming Tuesday at 4 p.m.
