Royals Flush the Auggies With A Significant 76-51 Victory

ARDEN HILL, Minn.
- Extending their impressive win streak to five games Monday afternoon in the Robertson Center, the Bethel Royals Women's Basketball squad trounced the Augsburg Auggies with a 76-51 victory. With the victory the Royals now have one of their longer win streaks within the last several years.

The first half was dominated by Bethel, both offensively and defensively. Holding Augsburg to a whimsy 23 points in the first. The Royals meanwhile where steadily displaying a fine offensive performance as Scotti Moats (So., Waconia, Minn.) was well on her way to another double-double, with 12 points and 7 rebounds. Teammates, Kelly Swenson (So., Dawson, Minn.) and Taylor Sheley (Jr., Backus, Minn.) also had strong first halfs, collecting 9 and 8 points apiece.

Building off their first half performance, the Royals never let up as they put 43 points on the board in the second half, leaving Augsburg in the dust. Sheley and Moats both finished with 20 points on the afternoon, while Moats also collected 11 boards. Shana Grejtak (Sr., Franklin, Minn.) also had an impressive game with 8 points and 9 rebounds.

The Royals are back in action Wednesday evening at the Robertson Center, where they will play host to the Carleton Knights from Northfield, Minnesota. Tip-off is at 7:30 p.m.
