BOX SCORE

SAINT PAUL, Minn.
- In the midst of a two game losing streak, the Bethel Women's Basketball team traveled to Macalester College to take on the Fighting Scots Saturday. In an effort to regain momentum and crucial conference victories, the Royals came up just short as they fell by a score of 69-61.

The game remained close throughout the first half as Bethel put up 30 points while Macalester collected 31. The Royals were receiving some fine play by Scotti Moats (So., Waconia, Minn.) who had 10 points and 5 rebounds in the first. Shana Grejtak (Sr., Franklin, Minn.) was playing a good all around game as she contributed to the Royals effort with 4 points, 3 rebounds, and 2 steals. Meanwhile, Macalester's Holly Schiedermayer looked like she was a force to reckoned with as she led all scorers with 12 points.

Being on the road, this would have been a much needed victory for the Royals, who are currently in the MIAC play-off hunt. Unfortunately, it wasn't meant to be today as Bethel just couldn't stop the Macalester attack. Moats finished with a monster performance dropping 29 points and 10 rebounds in the losing effort. Kelly Swenson (So., Dawson, Minn.) would finish the game with 11 points and Taylor Sheley (Jr., Backus, Minn.) would finish with 10 points.

The Royals look to end this dry spell later in the week when they will take on Saint Mary's University Wednesday evening in Winona, Minnesota. Tip-off will take place at 7:30 p.m.
