BOX SCORE
NORTHFIELD, Minn. - They say all good things have to come to an end sometime, and with that in mind, the Bethel Women's Basketball team lost to St. Olaf Monday evening thus ending their 7-game win streak. In a close battle, the Royals just couldn't conjure up enough points to take down the Oles in Northfield as they lost 51-47.
Bethel played St. Olaf tough throughout the first half, and at one point had a 14-10 lead only to see it slip away. The Oles finished the half ahead by 3 points with the score being St. Olaf 27, Bethel 24.
The Royals did all they could in the second to gain an edge and come home with a victory.
Shana Grejtak (Sr., Franklin, Minn.) had 12 points and 10 rebounds to lead Bethel, which led 44-38 with 4:35 left. Unfortunately, they couldn't hold onto a late lead and let the Oles back into the game in the dwindling minutes.
St. Olaf's Mackenzie Wolter scored four straight in the final 46 seconds to lift St. Olaf to a 51-47 MIAC women's basketball win over Bethel University on Monday night at the Skoglund Center.
The Royals return to action Wednesday evening when they play host to the visiting Gustavus Adolphus College, at the Robertson Center. The game begins at 7:30 p.m.
