BOX SCORE
ARDEN HILLS, Minn. - Wednesday evening at the Robertson Center, the Bethel Women's Basketball team squared off against fellow MIAC opponent Carleton College in hopes of extending their current win streak to six games. With some sharp offensive play and complete domination of the Knights, the Royals were able to notch another tally mark in the win column as they trounced Carleton 75-43.
Bethel came out looking strong in the first half and were relentless throughout as offensively they were led by
Shana Grejtak (Sr., Franklin, Minn.), who collected 19 points. Along with Grejtak playing well,
Scotti Moats (So., Waconia, Minn.) had 6 points and 4 rebounds in the first, as the Royals took a gargantuan, 40-21, lead into the locker room.
The Royals game didn't appear to slow down any in the second half, and the Knights didn't appear to pick up any either. Bethel continued to extend their lead, thanks in large part to the play of
Taylor Sheley (Jr., Backus, Minn.) dropping down 10 points and Moats chipping in with 7. On the night, Grejtak led all scorers with 25 points, while Sheley and Moats each finished with 13.
As previously mentioned, the Royals did extend their win streak to six games and plan on building upon that this Saturday when they take on Concordia College at the Robertson Center. The game begins at 1 p.m.
