SAINT PAUL, Minn. - The Bethel Men's Soccer team battled to a 2-2 tie in double overtime with the St. Thomas Tommies on Saturday afternoon.
Despite a quick 1-0 Tommie lead,
Brandon Peplinski (Sr., Maple Grove, Minn.) evened up the score on a penalty-shot goal.
Andreas Scott (Sr., Cedar, Minn.) collected the second Royals goal, as they would enter halftime with a 2-1 lead.
The Tommies would tie the game at 2 in the 62nd minute of play. The score would remain the same throughout the overtime periods, ultimately ending in the 2-2 tie.
Leif Sundberg (Jr., Mahtomedi, Minn.) finished the game with 5 saves for the Royals.
Bethel is back home against Concordia College on Wednesday afternoon with their game starting at 4 p.m.
