BOX SCORE
ST. PAUL, Minn. - The Royals traveled down Snelling avenue on Friday afternoon to compete against the Pipers of Hamline. The match was their second competition against a conference school, and after dropping a match to St. Mary's earlier in the week the Royals were hoping to turn their luck against the Pipers.
Turn their luck the Royals did indeed. In a close battle the Royals came out on top 2-1. Though the score was close Bethel dominated the stats in almost every way. Looking at shots on goal the Royals had 13 shots on goal while the Pipers only had 3.
Protecting the goal for the Royals was goal keeper
Alyssa Riggs (Sr., Columbia Heights, Minn.) who had 2 saves in the match. Other key players for the Royals were
Sophie Christiansen (Jr., Portland, Ore.) and Carrie Kishaba (Jr., Eau Claire, Wis.) who both came of the bench to score the only goals for Bethel.
With the win the Royals improve their record to 4-2-1. The next action for Bethel will come at the University of St. Thomas on September 25th at 1p.m.
