MINNEAPOLIS - After going down two sets to none against Augsburg the Bethel women fought back extending the match to 5 sets. The fifth set was a back and fourth battle with the Royals holding the lead at 12-11 before ultimately going down 13-15.

Leaders for the Royals on offense were Caitie Helle (So., Onamia, Minn.), Kate Smith (Jr., Arden Hills, Minn.), and Betsy Naatjes (Sr., Sioux Falls, S.D.). Helle had 16 kills, while Smith and Naatjes had 26 and 18 assists respectively. On the defensive side of the net the Royals were lead by Valerie Smith (So., Alexandria, Minn.) who had 20 digs.

The Royals are now 11-15 overall with a record of 3-5 in the MIAC. The Royals will travel to Winona to face off against St. Mary's University tomorrow as they close out the last three games of the 2010 season.
