Paul had an outstanding start to the new year by scoring six points on three goals and three assists in four games for Bethel. On Monday, with Bethel down 4-2 against Northland College, Paul scored his third goal of the season to bring the Royals within one. Bethel would go on to win 5-4 in OT. The following night, Paul was easily the most dominant skater on the ice as he scored four points on two goals and two assists in a 6-3 win for Bethel over Northland. His second goal proved to be the game-winner. Then on Friday, the starting forward had an assist on Bethel's only goal against UW-Superior. Paul is the leading freshman scorer among MIAC players, and is in the top 10 for points and assists as well.
