Vavra averaged 12 points per game off the bench in each of Bethel's two MIAC playoff games last week. In Bethel's 70-59 win over Augsburg, Vavra nearly had a double-double with 11 points and eight rebounds. He was a perfect 4-for-4 from the free throw line and was 1-for-3 from three-point land. On Saturday against St. Thomas, Vavra was the leading scorer for the Royals with 13 points, with nine of them coming off of 3-for-3 shooting from behind the three-point arc. The junior guard was named Sixth Man of the Year by the College Sporting News for the 2008-09 season as he averaged nearly 10 points per game.
