Ellie Hernes Breaks School Record at 2026 MIAC Outdoor Heptathlon Championship

RESULTS

NORTHFIELD, MINN.—Ellie Hernes and Ally Tyvoll represented the Bethel University women's track & field team at the 2026 MIAC Heptathlon Championship, hosted by Carleton College, on Thursday and Friday. 

Hernes broke the school record with a fifth-place score of 4440, which gave Bethel four team points. That defeated the previous school-record mark of 4264 achieved by AnnaGrace Nelson in 2024. Claire Stein (St. Olaf) won the 2026 MIAC Heptathlon Championship with a 4604.

Toyvill's 3567 put her in 16th place.

High Jump: 1.57m (701 points)
Shot Put: 8.45m (426 points)
200 Meter Dash: 26.76 (732 points)
Long Jump: 5.38m (665 points)

800 Meter Run: 2:26.58 (736 points)

The 2026 MIAC Outdoor Track & Field Championship will occur on Friday, May 9 - Saturday, May 9 at St. Olaf.
