ARDEN HILLS, MINN.—The No. 23 Bethel University women's basketball team will square off Millsaps College in the 2025-26 NCAA Division III Women's Basketball Tournament First Round at the Robertson Center on Friday, March 6 at 7:45 p.m. 

TOURNAMENT SCHEDULE
Friday, March 6 (First Round)
Game One: 5:15 p.m. | UW-Platteville vs. Coe
Game Two: 7:45 p.m. | Millsaps at Bethel

Saturday, March 7 (Second Round)
Game Three: 7:45 p.m. | Winner of Game One vs. Winner of Game Two

NCAA TOURNAMENT HISTORY
The Royals are making their eighth overall, and second-straight appearance in the NCAA Division III Women's Basketball Tournament. They qualified for the field in 1993-94, 1994-95, 1995-96, 1996-97, 2014-15, 2019-20, 2024-25. This will mark the fourth time Bethel will host NCAA Tournament games at the Robertson Center, also doing so in 2019-20, 1995-96, and 1993-94.

Bethel has a 5-7 all-time record in the NCAA Division III Tournament. 

LAST TIME OUT/SERIES RECORD
Bethel defeated Millsaps 69-52 in their only matchup on December 27, 2015 at the 2014-15 D3hoops.com Classic in Las Vegas, Nevada.

  • The Royals qualified for the 2025-26 NCAA Division III Women's Basketball Tournament following a 62-55 road victory over top-seed Concordia (Minn.) in the MIAC Championship Game on February 28, which earned them the automatic qualifier. That marked BU's second MIAC Tournament Title, also winning the crown in 2020.
  • Their .264 three-point percentage defense leads the MIAC while they rank among the nation's top 30 teams with a .426 field goal percentage (29th), a .767 free throw percentage (fifth), and 15.32 free throws made per game (14th).
  • Emily Erickson paces the MIAC with a .542 field goal percentage (17th NCAA Division III), 165 free throw attempts (24th NCAA Division III), 180 field goals, and 138 free throws made (11th NCAA Division III). Her 18.2 points per game ranks second in the MIAC, while her 509 total points paces the conference.
  • Colette Duininck leads the MIAC and sits at No. 13 in NCAA Division III with 130 assists. Her 79 steals also paces the conference, while her 1.63 assist/turnover ratio is third conference-wide.
  • Junior forward Emily Erickson, graduate student forward Elly Schmitz, and senior guard Colette Duininck were each named to the 2025-26 MIAC Women's Basketball All-Conference Team.
  • In addition, senior forward Alli Born, senior guard Rosalie Penke, and junior forward Cally Peterson were each named to the 2025-26 MIAC Women's Basketball All-Playoff Team for their performances over the past three games.

ABOUT MILLSAPS COLLEGE (21-7) Head Coach: Jeff Wilbur (21-7, First Season at Millsaps)

  • The Lady Majors are making their fourth appearance in the NCAA Division III Women's Basketball Tournament, also qualifying in 2023-24, 1995-96, and 1994-95. Millsaps has a 1-3 all-time record in the NCAA Division III Women's Basketball Tournament. Their lone victory was a 65-57 win over Hendrix on February 28, 1996.
  • Millsaps leads the Southern Athletic Association and ranks among the country's top 30 teams with 1,989 total points (23rd). 
  • The Lady Major are stellar at getting to the free throw line as their 24.54 attempts per game ranks sixth in NCAA Division III, and second in the SAA.  Garin Freeman, who leads Millsaps with 17.8 points per game, has a lot to do with that as her 248 free throw attempts leads the country. Freeman's 6.5 assists per game puts her at No. 3 in the country.
  • Senior Elyse Warren's 23 double doubles on the season ranks second in NCAA Division III. She averages 14.9 points, while she's third nation wide with 17.3 rebounds per game.
  • Also averaging double figures is Tia Anderson, who has 16.4 points per game.
