Royals Win 2026 MIAC Men's Indoor Track & Field Championship

NORTHFIELD, MINN.—The Bethel University Royals won the 2026 MIAC Men's Indoor Track & Field Championship, hosted by Carleton College, on Saturday afternoon with a score of 167. This is the Royals' fourth-straight MIAC Men's Indoor Track & Field title. 

The 55 meter hurdle prelims saw Logan Swanson register a first-place time of 7.61 (facility record), followed by Pryce Ferrin's second-place time of 7.79, and Blake Viesselman's fourth-place time of 7.92. Ferrin won the MIAC Men's 55 Meter Hurdle with a 7.68. Swanson claimed second place with a 7.69, while Visselman's 7.90 put him in fifth place. 

Grant Nelson won the MIAC Men's 200 Meter Dash with a facility-record 21.91. Sixth place was in the cards for Elliott Kent in the 200 meter dash, as he crossed the finish line at 22.59. 

Kent and Nelson teamed up with Lelinga and Tony Haack to win the MIAC Men's 4x400 Meter Relay Title with a 3:18.48.

The 55 meter dash prelims saw Landen Liu take first place with a facility record 6.30, while Stephen Feig took sixth place with a 6.55. Liu won the MIAC Men's 55 Meter Dash Title with a 6.31, followed by Feig's sixth-place time of 6.62. Feig kept that momentum alive in the pole vault, where he cleared the bar at 4.58m to lock third place. Joshua Graske followed with a 4.38m, which put him in seventh place.

Victor Lelinga's 1:21.05 in the 600 meter run put him in second place. Caleb Ketterling crossed the finish line at 1:22.81 in the 600 meter run, good enough for eighth place.

The shot put saw Adam Hokanson (14.75m) take fourth place, followed by Timmy Ball (14.34m) in fifth, and Dylan Hageman (14.12m) in sixth. Third place was the case for Nick Bovitz in the triple jump, where he notched a 13.99m.

The Royals will compete at the UW-La Crosse Last Chance Meet on Saturday, March 7.
