DAY TWO RESULTS
NORTHFIELD, MINN.—The Bethel University men's track & field team sits in second place with 74 points through day two of the MIAC Indoor Track & Field Championship, hosted by Carleton College, in Northfield, Minnesota on Friday. St. Olaf is in first place with 87 points.
Grant Nelson won the MIAC Men's 400 Meter Dash Title with a facility-record 48.75. Following Nelson was Elliott Kent in third place (50.00), Caleb Ketterling in fourth place (50.10), and Brody Schelhaas in sixth place (50.45).
The titles continued to roll in courtesy of the 4x200 meter relay team of Sam Raitz, Stephen Feig, Will Sportel, and Nelson. They posted a school-record time of 1:28.36.
The weight throw resulted in a third-place toss of 16.60m for Timmy Ball. Phil Conant registered a fourth-place toss of 16.21m, followed by Adam Hokanson's fifth-place mark of 16.00m.
Victor Lelinga crossed the finish line at 1:54.79 in the 800 meter run, good enough for fifth place.
The heptathlon saw Timothy Hubers finish with a sixth-place score of 4261. Day two of the heptathlon saw Hubers take fourth in the 1000 meter run (2:50.47), fifth in the 55 meter hurdles (8.39), and 10th in the pole vault (3.50m). Aaron Elseth was next with a seventh-place score of 4219. Elseth notched fourth in the 55 meter hurdles (8.39), seventh in the pole vault (3.70m), and ninth in the 1000 meter run (2:54.57).
Day three of the MIAC Championship will take place tomorrow, Saturday, February 28 at 10 a.m.
