Women’s Soccer Falls 3-0 to Kalamazoo in Kenosha

KENOSHA, Wis. — Bethel University women's soccer dropped a 3-0 decision to Kalamazoo College on Friday afternoon in the first of two weekend matches at Art Keller Field. The Royals held strong early but were unable to recover after a first-half goal put them behind.

Bethel kept the match scoreless through the first 15 minutes, with goalkeeper Abby Wright making a key early save to hold the line. Kalamazoo opened the scoring off a corner kick midway through the half, and though Bethel responded with a shot on target from Hailey Bergan, the Royals went into the break trailing 1-0.

The second half saw Bethel create more attacking chances, particularly in the opening 10 minutes. Malia Beilby generated several shots as the Royals pushed forward, but they couldn't break through. Kalamazoo added goals in the 68th and 75th minutes to extend the lead. Bethel finished with nine total shots but couldn't convert, and Wright ended the day with multiple saves in goal.
