Ross Leads Bethel Men’s Soccer to 3-1 Win at Saint John’s

Collegeville, Minn. – September 20, 2025

Behind a two-goal performance from senior Jordan Ross, the Bethel University men's soccer team earned a 3-1 road victory over Saint John's on Saturday afternoon at Haws Field. The Royals stay unbeaten on the season, improving to 6-0-2 overall and 2-0-0 in MIAC play.

Bethel wasted no time getting on the scoreboard, as Ryan Swanda opened the scoring in the 7th minute, finishing off a pass from Ross. Ross then doubled the lead in the 29th minute with a goal of his own, assisted by James Oberholtzer.

Saint John's cut into the lead early in the second half, but Bethel responded in the 75th minute when Ross struck again—this time off an assist from Griffin Blokker—to put the match out of reach.

The Royals were efficient in attack, scoring three goals on just 13 total shots (eight on goal). Bethel also earned six corner kicks and put in a strong defensive effort, limiting Saint John's to just one goal despite 21 total shots, including 17 in the second half. Goalkeeper Colton Koch made six saves in the win.

Next Up: Bethel travels to Concordia-Moorhead on Saturday, September 27. Kickoff is scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
