ARDEN HILLS, Minn. – The Bethel University men's soccer team earned a 1–1 draw with Wartburg College earllier this afternoon, responding quickly after falling behind in the second half. The Royals now sit at 1-1-0 on the season.
Bethel applied pressure early, with Nathan Hunt recording two shots in the opening 30 seconds, including one saved on frame. Silas Ihde and Jordan Ross added early looks as the Royals controlled much of the first-half momentum.
Wartburg found the back of the net in the 63rd minute, but Bethel answered immediately. Just seconds later, Minty Shady scored the equalizer, set up by James Oberholtzer and Jack Gerber, making it 1–1.
Griffin Blokker made four saves in goal, helping Bethel preserve the result through a late push from the Knights.
