RESULTS
ST. PAUL, Minn. - The Royals won 3 events and Shalom Sulungaine broke her own program record in the 400m dash on Wednesday evening at Hamline, running 55.03 seconds. Sulungaine nearly ran down Larenna Ben from the University of Minnesota as she ended up just 0.02 seconds behind the winner. That time is the 6th fastest in Division III this year.
Jireh Babalola earned the victory in the 100m dash, running 11.96, as she broke 12-seconds for the 2nd straight week.
Kelsie Sealock won the 100H, running 14.30 seconds into a headwind. Hannah Bingham was 5th in 15.39.
Sealock came back at the end of the day to team up with Arissa Rydberg, Hannah Kvant, and Bingham to win the 4x400m relay. Their time of 3:54.12 ranks 38th on the Division III honor roll.
Sarah Stellmach ran a season best 57.13 seconds in the 400m, to earn 3rd place.
The 4x100m relay team of Babalola, Raina Kaping, Autumn Maki, and Abbie Swenson took 3rd with a time of 48.11 seconds.
Nora Wilhelm placed 3rd in the shot put with a toss of 12.62m / 41'5", 7th in discus with a throw of 39.72m / 130'4", and 8th in hammer with 48.07m / 157'8".
Jordan Stanislowski leaped a personal best 10.85m / 35'7.25" in the triple jump to earn 4th place.
Anna Speratos took 5th place in the hammer with a toss of 49.36m / 161'11".
Ruby Gernandt set a lifetime best in the 800m, running 2:19.69 and placing 6th overall.
Emily Pearson took 7th place in the pole vault as she cleared 3.47m / 11'4.5".
The Royals will compete next week on Friday and Saturday, May 9th and 10th at Macalester for the MIAC Championships.
