RESULTS - Drake Relays | Macalester
DES MOINES, Iowa - The Bethel women's 4x400m relay team earned runner-up honors at the historic Drake Relays on Saturday. The team of Sarah Stellmach (55.98), Abbie Swenson (57.98), Hailey Gregg (57.34) and Shalom Sulungaine (55.19) ran 3:46.51. That time is the 2nd fastest in program history, and currently ranks 6th in Division III.
At Macalester, Arissa Rydberg was the runner-up in the 400m dash as she clocked 60.91 seconds. Adelyn Ellefson took 7th place in 62.60.
Ruby Gernandt set a personal best in the 800m run of 2:20.82 to earn 5th place.
In the 100m dash, freshman Autumn Maki took 6th in 12.63, while Raina Kaping took 7th in 12.66.
Kaping also took 5th place in the pole vault with a season best of 3.36m / 11'0.25". Molly Nelson cleared 3.06m / 10'0.5" to take 8th place.
Anna Speratos took 2nd place in the hammer throw with a toss of 48.43m / 158'10". Nora Wilhelm took 5th place with a throw of 45.55m / 149'5".
Wilhelm also placed 2nd in the shot put with a throw of 12.33m / 40'5.5", and 3rd in the discus with 37.87m / 124'3".Â
Hannah Moe took 6th place in the long jump as she leaped a personal best 4.99m / 16'4.5".
The Royals will compete next at Hamline University on Wednesday, April 30th. Championship season begins on Thursday, May 1st and Friday, May 2nd, as the MIAC Heptathlon will begin at Carleton College.
