Women’s Tennis Rolls Past Hamline

Arden Hills, Minn. – The Bethel University women's tennis team kept their momentum rolling on Tuesday afternoon with a dominant 8-1 win over Hamline at the Ona Orth Athletic Complex. The Royals improved to 11-3 overall and 6-1 in MIAC play, strengthening their push toward the postseason with just a few matches remaining.

Bethel started strong in doubles play, claiming two out of three matches. Lauryn Douglas and Michaella Sullivan led the charge at No. 1 doubles with a commanding 8-2 win, while Julia Baber and Elisabeth Langhus secured an 8-4 victory at the No. 3 spot.

From there, the Royals swept through singles in convincing fashion, taking all six courts in straight sets. Douglas and Sullivan stayed sharp at the top of the lineup, and Claire Keller followed with a 6-1, 6-1 win at No. 3. Baber battled through a second-set tiebreaker to win 6-2, 7-6(1), while Emma Thole and Courtney DeWall (Nuest) each cruised to two-set wins at No. 5 and 6.
