For the third time this year and first time in the outdoor season, junior Grant Nelson was named MIAC Men's Track Athlete of the Week. 

Nelson won the 400-meter dash at the Bethel Invitational on Saturday with a personal-best time of 46.70. That mark is the second-fastest in NCAA Division III this season. Nelson also helped the Royals' 4x400-meter relay team to a second-place finish - 0.16 seconds behind first-place UW-La Crosse - with the 12th-fastest 4x400 time in D-III history at 3:08.42.
