RESULTS
MENOMONIE, Wis. - Anna Speratos obliterated the program record in the weight throw at the Stout Quad on Friday evening. Speratos surpassed the old record on 4 of her 6 throws, including her best toss of 17.31m / 56'9.5". That throw broke Alyssa Solberg's record of 16.51m / 54'2" from 2015. Speratos currently ranks 16th in Division III and is the MIAC leader in the event.
Nora Wilhelm had a terrific day in the throws as well. Wilhelm took 2nd place in the shot put with a season best and MIAC leading mark of 12.74m / 41'9.75". Wilhelm also had a lifetime best in the weight throw of 15.38m / 50'5.5" to take 5th place.
Freshman Hannah Bingham ran a season best time in the 60H of 9.47 seconds in the preliminary round. Bingham followed it up with a 3rd place finish in the finals with her time of 9.50 seconds.
Ruby Gernandt ran an indoor personal best in the 800m of 2:23.96, which placed her 5th overall.
Emily Pearson placed 6th in the pole vault, clearing 3.33m / 10'11". Raina Kaping also cleared 3.33m / 10'11", but placed 8th based on misses.
Jordan Stanisloski triple jumped for the first time this indoor season, and took 5th place with a leap of 10.17m / 33'4.5".
The Royals will compete next week on Friday at the University of Minnesota, and will host the Gene Glader Classic on Saturday, February 22nd in the Bethel Sport and Recreation Center.
