MENOMONIE, Wis. – The Royals were led by
Sarah Stellmach's win in the 200m dash as Bethel competed at the Warren Bowlus Open hosted by UW-Stout on Saturday, February 1
st.
Sarah Stellmach won the 200m dash in 25.84 – the 2
nd fastest indoor time of her career. That time puts her 36
th on the Division III honor roll.
Shalom Sulungaine took 4
th place in the 800m run with a time of 2:18.98. That time puts her 36
th on the Division III honor roll.
Freshman
Arissa Rydberg led from wire-to-wire to win the 600m run in 1:45.79.
In the 400m dash,
Abbie Swenson ran a personal best time of 59.87 to take 2
nd place. Sophomore
Hannah Kvant took 4
th place in 60.76.
The 4x400m relay team of
Morgan Dean,
Elle Thorson,
Hannah Kvant, and Caley Wrzesein took 2
nd place with their time of 4:14.12.
Anna Speratos led the Royals in the field events with a 3
rd place finish in the weight throw, tossing a season best 15.98m / 52'5.25".
Nora Wilhelm was 5
th in the shot put with a throw of 11.76m / 38'7". Wilhelm also set a personal best in the weight throw with a toss of 15.28m / 50'1.75", placing her 7
th.
The Royals will compete next week at the Mark Guthrie Legacy Invite at UW-Lacrosse on Saturday, February 8
th.
