STORM LAKE, IOWA—The Bethel University men's basketball team dropped an 83-78 OT decision at Buena Vista on Saturday night.
The Royals fall to 1-2, while the Beavers improve to 2-1.

Nine lead changes occurred in a game that saw Bethel have the upper hand with a .483 (28-of-58) field goal percentage and .406 (13-of-32) three-point mark. Nick Burke finished with a double double 18 points, 11 rebounds as well as five assists for the Royals, while AJ Kauls had 18 points off the bench. Adam Mattes added 17 points, nine boards, and four assists. Jack Charbonneau rounded out the Bethel double figure scorers with 15 points off the bench.
The Beavers, who shot .439 (29-of-66) from the field, were led by Jayden Brink's game-high 22 points and five assists, followed by Adam Bryte's double double 18 points and 10 rebounds. Ned Hayes added 13 points for Buena Vista.
The Royals will host UW-Eau Claire at the Robertson Center Gymnasium on Tuesday, November 25 at 7 p.m.
