ARDEN HILLS, MINN.—The Bethel University men's basketball team dropped a 68-52 decision to UW-Eau Claire at the Robertson Center Gymnasium on Tuesday night.
The Royals fall to 1-3, while the Blugolds improve to 7-0.

Eau Claire never trailed in the contest despite Bethel cutting their deficit to one point at 20-19 with 3:00 left in the first half, and to two points at 39-37 with 13:51 remaining in the second half. From there, the game ended with the Blugolds' largest advantage of the contest, a 68-52 victory over the Royals.
Nick Burke finished with a double double 16 points and 10 rebounds as well as three assists for the Royals. Adam Mattes was next with 12 points, while Blake Schmitz came off the bench with 10 points.
The Blugolds got double double performances from two individuals as Carter Lichtsinn had 16 rebounds and 13 points. Xavier Lewis finished with 12 points and 11 rebounds. Andre Renta had 12 points, a team-best five assists, and two blocks for Eau Claire. Kenji Scales added 10 points.
Bethel will host Macalester for their 2025-26 MIAC Opener at Robertson Center on Wednesday, December 3 at 7 p.m.
