The Bethel University women's soccer team faced a tough challenge on the road Wednesday night, falling 8–0 to a nationally ranked Wisconsin–La Crosse squad at Veterans Memorial Field in La Crosse, Wis.
The Eagles—currently one of the top teams in Division III—showcased their attacking depth, scoring five times in the first half and three more after the break. Despite the scoreline, Bethel continued to battle throughout the full 90 minutes, showing resilience and defensive effort against a relentless La Crosse offense.
Bethel's back line absorbed heavy pressure throughout the match, while the Royals worked to generate counterattacking opportunities of their own. Several players stepped up defensively in the second half, limiting clear chances and helping the team regroup after a challenging opening stretch.
