Game Recap: Women's Soccer |

Royals Fall on the Road to St. Olaf

Northfield, Minn. — October 11, 2025 — The Bethel University women's soccer team dropped a 2–0 decision to St. Olaf on Saturday afternoon at Rolf Mellby Field. The Royals move to 1–11–1 overall (1–5–0 MIAC), while the Oles improve to 11–1–1 (5–0–1 MIAC).

St. Olaf struck early in the 14th minute when Marit Klagge headed in a cross from the left side. The Oles doubled their advantage in the 28th minute as Emily Johnson dribbled through traffic and finished into the far post for her 12th goal of the season.

Bethel generated a handful of attacking opportunities, recording five shots and four corner kicks, but couldn't find the back of the net. Goalkeeper Abby Wright made seven saves while facing 32 shots in a strong effort against one of the MIAC's top offenses.

Despite the result, the Royals continued to show grit defensively—holding the Oles scoreless through the second half and limiting clean looks at goal.

Bethel will look to bounce back on Tuesday night when they travel to face Augsburg University in Minneapolis. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m.
