ARDEN HILLS, Minn. – Bethel University women's soccer dropped a 2-0 decision to Gustavus Adolphus on Saturday afternoon at Ona Orth Athletic Complex. Despite creating several opportunities in the attacking third, the Royals were unable to capitalize, moving to 1-9-1 overall and 1-4-0 in MIAC play.
After a scoreless opening half, the visitors struck early in the second, scoring in the 47th and 56th minutes. Bethel responded with eight second-half shots but couldn't find the back of the net.
The Royals totaled 13 shots in the match, six of which were on goal. Bethel's goalkeeper made seven saves on the day, including five in the second half.
Bethel was shown two yellow cards in the second half, issued to Sydney Ebner in the 75th minute and Eleanor Rundell in the 80th.
