Minneapolis, Minn. — October 14, 2025 — The Bethel University women's soccer team delivered one of their best performances of the season Tuesday night, earning a 3–1 road victory over Augsburg University at Edor Nelson Field. The win improves the Royals to 2–11–1 overall (2–5–0 MIAC), while the Auggies drop to 7–6–0 (4–3–0 MIAC).
After Augsburg opened the scoring in the 23rd minute, Bethel quickly answered when Jessica Oliver found the equalizer off an assist from Anna Sukle just five minutes later. The Royals carried that momentum into the second half, where Malia Beilby broke the tie in the 55th minute with a composed finish to give Bethel the lead.
Beilby later helped seal the win, assisting Sarah Motalebi's goal in the 84th minute to cap the 3–1 victory.
The Royals made the most of their opportunities, putting six of their ten shots on goal while showing resilience defensively against 23 Augsburg attempts. Goalkeepers Abby Wright and Autumn Maki anchored the defense with seven saves on the night.
The win marks Bethel's second MIAC victory of the season and a strong step forward as the Royals continue to build late-season momentum.
Bethel returns home to the Ona Orth Athletic Complex on Saturday for Senior Day, hosting Hamline University at 3:30 p.m.
