BLAINE, Minn. – The Bethel University women's hockey team picked up right where it left off Friday night, sweeping the non-conference series with Trine following a 4-1win Saturday afternoon.
Bella Webb sent BU into the first break up 1-0 after tapping in a rebound shot at the 13:26 mark.
Kallie Abrahamson tried to get the first tap in before Webb was able to push it across the line.
Alison Hoerer tallied her first goal of the season 5:39 into the second, putting BU up 2-0 with the power play goal. The special times continued to shined after that, killing a pair of penalties within a 4:30 span. The Thunder were only able to get two shots on frame on the extra skater advantages.
Beth Velasco gave BU the three-goal lead with just under 10 minutes left in the third period.
Trine got a goal back late as they went on the power play with 2:29 left and pulled their goalie at the same time. The score came on a tap in as a flurry of sticks were active in the crease off a rebound shot.
Kallie Abrahamson tallied the empty netter with just over a minute left.
BU held a 41-21 edge in the shots-on-goal department.
