BLOOMINGTON, Minn. – Freshman
Michaella Sullivan was named the MIAC Women's Tennis Rookie of the Year, announced Tuesday afternoon by the conference office. Sullivan was also named to the All-MIAC Singles and Doubles Team with
Lauryn Douglas and
Julia Baber joining her on both squads.

Courtney Nuest was voted to the Honorable Mention Singles Team while
Emma Thole earned Honorable Mention honors on the Doubles Team.

Michaella Sullivan • Fr. • Prior Lake, Minn. (Lakeville South)
• Becomes BU's first-ever Rookie of the Year recipient.
• Went 9-1 against MIAC opponents playing as the No. 2 singles player, with her lone loss coming to three-time All-MIAC honoree Mary Hose of Carleton. It's the most wins among all players at the No. 2 singles spot.
• Was 6-4 in MIAC doubles matches going 5-4 at No. 1 doubles with
Lauryn Douglas. She won her lone No. 2 doubles match against Concordia back in the fall with
Emma Thole.
• For the season she was 18-3 at No. 2 doubles finishing on a seven-match win streak. She was 18-4 in doubles matches going 11-4 overall at No. 1.
• Named to the All-MIAC Playoff Team.

Julia Baber • So. • Rochester, Minn. (Century)
• Now a two-time All-MIAC Singles and Doubles honoree.
• Went 7-3 in MIAC matches at the No. 3 singles position.
• Was 6-4 in MIAC doubles matches that included a 5-4 mark at No. 2 doubles with partner
Emma Thole.
• For the season she was 17-5 overall at No. 3 singles and 14-8 in doubles play going 6-1 at No. 1 and 8-7 at No. 2.

Lauryn Douglas • So. • North Mankato, Minn. (West)
• Now a two-time All-MIAC Singles and Doubles honoree.
• At the No. 1 singles spot she went 5-5 in MIAC matches including a big victory over Gustavus' Molly Austin in the regular season finale, 6-2, 6-4.
• In doubles play she went 6-4 in MIAC matches at No. 1. With
Michaella Sullivan they went 5-4.
• For the season she was 15-7 overall playing all matches at the No. 1 singles spot. She was 17-5 in doubles matches.

• First All-MIAC accolade.
• Went 9-1 at the No. 5 doubles position in MIAC matches with her lone loss coming to Carleton's Kiley Pickens. She finished conference play with a six-match winning streak.
• Her nine wins were the most by a No. 5 singles player in the MIAC.
• Went 17-2 overall in singles matches finishing the year on a seven-match win streak.

• Now a three-time Honorable Mention Doubles Team honoree, being named to the team in the last two seasons.
• Went 6-4 in MIAC doubles matches at the No. 2 position. Five of her six wins came with doubles partner
Julia Baber.
• For the season she was 15-7 in doubles matches at the No. 2 position.
