ST. PETER, MINN.—Lauryn Douglas/Michaella Sullivan highlighted the Bethel University women's tennis team at the 2025 ITA Midwest Regional in St. Peter, Minnesota on September 19-22. Their performance secured them a spot in the 2025 ITA Cup that's scheduled for October 16-19 in Rome, Georgia.

ITA Doubles Regional

Lauryn Douglas/Sullivan opened the tournament with 8-1 victories over Luther's Struble/Lichau, and Coe's Fain/Hagness on Friday. The third round saw L. Douglas/Sullivan prevail with an 8-4 decision over UW-La Crosse's Cady/Samuelson on Saturday.

Saturday's round of eight resulted in an 8-2 victory over Gustavus's Davis/DeYoung. This pitted L. Douglas/Sullivan against GAC's Szaley/Austin in Sunday's semifinal, where they secured a spot in the ITA Cup and Midwest Regional Double Championship Match with an 8-4 victory. 

L. Douglas/Sullivan faced Elvestrom/DeBruijn in Monday's ITA Midwest Regional Doubles Championship Match, where they dropped a close 4-6, 6-3, 10-5 battle.

Also participating in the doubles flight was Elisabeth Langhus/Payton Douglas, and Lucia Rote/Zadie Walvatne.

ITA Singles Regional

Lauryn Douglas advanced to the semifinal with a first-round bye, a 6-1, 6-4 win over Lina Lichau (Luther) in the second round, a 6-3, 6-3 decision over Isa Voinescu (Grinnell) in the third round, a 6-0, 6-0 victory over Kaitlyn Remke (UW-Whitewater) in the fourth round, and a 6-2, 6-0 decision over Molly Austin in the quarterfinal. She dropped a close 4-6, 6-1, 6-4 match to Kaya DeBruijn (Gustavus) in Sunday's semifinal.

Michaella Sullivan reached the fourth round of the singles bracket with a first-round bye, a 6-1, 6-4 win over Tristin Jantz (UW-Stevens Point) in the second round, and a 7-5, 6-4 decision over Ella De Young (Gustavus) in the third round. The fourth round resulted in a 3-6, 7-5, 10-5 loss for Sullivan against Tasha Bailey (UW-La Crosse).

Mailia McKinnon advanced to the second round with a 6-1, 6-4 win over Molly Jex (Dubuque).
