Anna Speratos and
Kelsie Sealock both set program records on Friday, as Bethel won 4 events at the Meet of the Unsaintly hosted by Hamline.
Speratos threw a personal best 47.81m / 156'10" in the hammer throw, just 5 inchest further than teammate
Nora Wilhelm's record set one week ago. Speratos placed 4th in the event on Friday.
Sealock ran a personal best 62.45 seconds in the 400m hurdles, bettering her mark from April by 0.12 seconds. Sealock's time ranks her 9th in Division III.
Jireh Babalola earned a victory in the 100m dash with a MIAC leading time of 12.07 seconds. Babalola is now ranked 30th in Division III in the 100m.
The 4x100m relay team of Babalola,
Abbie Swenson,
Raina Kaping, and
Hannah Kvant took 1st place with a season best time of 48.79 seconds.
Emily Pearson cleared a season best height of 3.55m / 11'7.75" in the pole vault to win the competition.
Raina Kaping also cleared a season best height of 3.40m / 11'1.75" to take 2nd place.
Abbie Swenson won the javelin throw with a toss of 36.58m / 120'0".
Bethel racked up several runner-up finishes.
Nora Wilhelm took 2nd place in the shot put with a throw of 12.53m / 41'1.5".
Shalom Sulungaine ran a personal best time of 57.96 seconds in the 400m dash to take 2nd place.
Grace Robinson set a personal best in the 800m run to take 2nd in 2:27.37.
Lydia Gessner had a personal best time of 13:09.75 to take 2nd in the 3000m steeplechase. The 4x400m relay team of
Jessie Smith,
Hailey Gregg,
Hannah Kvant, and
Reanna Cruz ran 4:02.22 to take 2nd place.
On Wednesday evening,
Josie Harms race the 5000m at St. Thomas, running a personal best time of 17:53.76, the 5th fastest time in program history.
The Royals will compete next week at the MIAC Championships on Friday, May 10th and Saturday, May 11th at Hamline University.
