Women’s Tennis Matches Program-Best Winning Streak

ORLANDO, Fla. – Off to one of its best starts in program history through the first 10 matches of the year, the Bethel University women's tennis team matched the program's longest winning streak of 10 in a row with a pair of wins down in Florida. The Royals open the day with a big 5-4 win over Hope before defeating Saint Francis (Ind.), 9-0.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED VS HOPE
• Bethel trailed 2-1 going into singles play winning only at No. 1 doubles by an 8-3 score.
• The Royals would get big wins by its No. 4, No. 5 and No. 6 singles players securing the win.
Emma Thole won her sixth straight match at No. 4 singles doing so in a super set tie breaker 6-3, 6-7 (4), 10-7.
Courtney Nuest also moved her win streak to six winning in the super tie breaker 6-3, 4-6, 10-7.

HOW IT HAPPENED VS SAINT FRANCIS
• BU opened up with a 3-0 lead after doubles play thanks to a win at No. 3 doubles in a tiebreaker.
• BU took all six singles matches with some new faces in the lineup.
• Malia McKinnon picked up her first win of the season at No. 5 winning 6-2, 6-0.
Bailey Albrightson also got her first win picking up a comeback win at No. 6 by scores of 1-6, 7-5, 10-4.
