LA CROSSE, Wis. - Senior Kelsie Sealock led the Royals with a Division III leading time of 8.51 seconds in the 60 meter hurdles at UW-LaCrosse on Saturday. Sealock ran a personal best, which placed her 2nd overall and now ranks as the 6th fastest Division III hurdler of all-time.
Sealock also came together with Hailey Gregg, Annessa Ihde, and Shalom Sulungaine to win the 4x400m relay in a season best 3:57.40. That time stands as the 6th fastest in Division III this year and the top time in the MIAC.
Ihde had another national level performance in her individual event, the 800m run. Ihde ran 2:15.24 to take 2nd place - a time which puts her 8th on the Division III honor roll, and is the top time in the MIAC this season.
Gregg ran an indoor personal best of 60.55 seconds in the 400m to take 6th place. Teammate Abbie Swenson was a hair behind, taking 7th in 60.56 seconds, setting a personal best.
Jireh Babalola placed 5th in the 60m dash with her time of 7.94 seconds.
Anna Speratos had a terrific day in the weight throw as she placed 6th overall. Her toss of 15.06m / 49'5" is the 3rd best throw in program history.
The freshmen pole vault duo of Emily Pearson (9th place) and Raina Kaping (10th) earned collegiate bests as they both cleared 3.42m / 11'2.5". Pearson and Kaping are tied for the 2nd best jump in program history.
The Royals will split their squad next week at they travel to UW-Stout on Friday and South Dakota State on Saturday.
