Women’s Tennis Picks Up Pair of Weekend Victories

ROGERS, Minn. – The Bethel women's tennis team continued to be an unstoppable force with a pair of 9-0 victories of Wisconsin-Stevens Point and Concordia this past weekend.

HOW IT HAPPENED vs. UWSP
• Sophomore Bryna Eigenfeld dominated in both sets at 6 singles, winning 6-0, 6-0
• The No. 1 doubles team Lauryn Douglas and Julia Baber move to a career 20-5 mark in doubles together after winning 8-1.
• Junior Emma Thole reaches 31 career singles wins at Bethel with her 6-1, 6-2 victory at No. 4

HOW IT HAPPENED vs CONCORDIA
• The No. 3 doubles team of Courtney Nuest and Bryna Eigenfeld gave BU the clean sweep in doubles play. The duo started strong, at one point having a 4-1 lead. However, they were unable to keep their consistency as Concordia pulled within 7-5. They fought hard the next two games, eventually going into a tiebreak, where they showed early dominance, winning it 8-7 (7-3).
• Sophomore Lauryn Douglas continues her streak of not dropping a set at the No. 1 singles position winning 6-4, 6-2.
