The Bethel University men's and women's basketball teams are set to open up the MIAC Playoffs with quarterfinal matchups Tuesday evening. The women's squad, who earned the fourth seed, hosts fifth-seeded Saint Benedict inside the Robertson Center while the men's squad, who nabbed the sixth seed, heads to third-seeded Gustavus Adolphus. Tip off for both games is set for 7 p.m.

WOMEN'S PLAYOFF HISTORY
• Making 10th straight appearance in the MIAC Playoffs and 14th overall.
• The Royals hold an 8-12 all-time playoff record.
• It will be the second straight season BU matches up with Saint Benedict in the quarterfinals. Last year the Royals traveled to CSB where the Bennies took it 73-55 in the four vs. five matchup. It's the third meeting between the two squads in the postseason, CSB is 2-1 in those games.
• It's the third time since the 2001 start of the tournament that BU is a four seed.
MEN'S PLAYOFF HISTORY
• Making their 27th overall appearance in the MIAC Playoffs and first since the 2022 all-comers playoff.
• Hold a 22-24 (.478) all-time MIAC Playoff record.
• The only other time the Royals were the No. 6 seed was in the 2012 playoff where they knocked off third seeded St. Olaf 77-58 in the quarters before falling to eventual champions and top-seeded St. Thomas 74-64 in the semis.
• BU is 3-6 all-time in the playoffs against Gustavus. The last matchup came in 2018 when GAC was the six seed and BU was the three, the Royals won 93-67.
