ST. PAUL, Minn. – The Bethel women's hockey team fell again to Hamline to close out the regular season, 4-1.
The Royals finish MIAC play with an 8-9-1 record and a .472 winning percentage, the best since 2015-16. They enter the post season with a 14-10-1 overall mark.

HOW IT HAPPENED
• The Royals forfeited three goals–2:02, 8:53, and 17:54–in the first period despite goaltender
Ashley Hess' 15 saves. They only managed to post five shots to the Pipers' 18.
• The Pipers added a fourth goal in the second period at 14:42, but the Royals managed to tack on 12 shots to their total and showed more offensive promise.
• Bethel was finally, able to get on the scoreboard in the third period as
Abbie DeLong skated the puck up and flicked it past the Piper goaltender at 4:03.
• Hamline was able to shut down any other opportunities, and the Royals found themselves on the losing end of a 4-1 game.
