RESULTS: UW-STOUT | SDSU
The Royals highlighted their weekend of competition with a national level performance in the 4x400m relay on Saturday at South Dakota State University. Keslie Sealock, Hailey Gregg, Annessa Ihde, and Shalom Sulungaine took 3rd place with their time of 3:52.36 which is now the 7th fastest in Division III this season.
At the UW-Stout Quad on Friday night, Nora Wilhelm led the way for Bethel, with 2 season bests in the throws. Wilhelm took 3rd in the shot put with a toss of 12.47m / 40'11" and 7th in the weight with a throw of 14.50m / 47'7". Teammate Anna Speratos had a lifetime best toss in the weight throw of 15.36m / 50'4.75", placing her 5th overall.Â
The Royals received more solid contributions in the field from a trio of freshmen. Emily Pearson was 4th in the pole vault with a season best 3.49m / 11'5.25", while Raina Kaping was 5th with a clearance of 3.34m / 10'11". Pearson's mark is now the 2nd best in program history. Jordan Stanisloski placed 3rd in the triple jump with a season best of 10.07m / 33'0".Â
On the track, Hannah Kvant placed 3rd with her time of 61.46 in her first collegiate 400m dash. Josie Harms took 5th place in a tightly contested 5k with a time of 18:18.82. Anna Cargill was 6th in the 800m with a time of 2:24.66 and Ruby Gernandt was 8th in the mile with a time of 5:30.16.
The Royals will compete next as they host their annual home meet, the Gene Glader Classic, on Saturday, February 17th.
