ARDEN HILLS, Minn. — The Bethel University women's basketball team defeated Crown Tuesday night, 73-32. Behind an
Elly Schmitz 18 point and 11 rebound double-double and an 11 point night from
Emily Erickson the Royals moved to 4-1 on the season.

Elly Schmitz nailed a 15-foot jumper to give the Royals an 8-5 lead. Schmitz later grabbed a rebound and got the tip in to extend the Bethel lead to five.
Cally Peterson followed by draining a shot from beyond-the-arc to give the Royals an eight point advantage.

Anna Garfield knocked down a three of her own giving the Royals a 26-12 lead.
Lydia Hay closed out the first half with a steal and a fastbreak layup to give Bethel a 33-15 lead at the break.

The Royals picked up right where they left off when
Anna Garfield nailed a three pointer to open up a 19 point advantage.
Elly Schmitz nailed another shot from beyond-the-arc, extending the lead to 57-21. Bethel was 6-for-8 from three in the third quarter to take a commanding 36 point lead into the final 10 minutes of play.
