Redshirt sophomore Matt Jung was named the MIAC Defensive Player of the Week for the second time this season and for the third time was a part of the D3football.com Team of the Week. He is now a six-time D3football.com Team of the Week honoree and is just the seventh player all-time to accomplish this since 1999. 

Jung recorded a pair of pick-sixes and added ten tackles (two solo) and one sack in the Royals' 49-16 win at Concordia-Moorhead on Nov. 9. Jung put the Royals up 12-0 in the first with a 31-yard interception before getting his second pick-six on the second half's first play, going 32 yards to the house. With Concordia at third-and-goal from the 2-yard line in the first half, Jung dropped the Cobbers' quarterback for a loss of 10 yards, forcing Concordia to settle for a 29-yard field goal.
