BLOOMINGTON, Minn. - Tallying his first collegiate hat trick Friday night at Concordia, freshman forward Joe Westlund was named the MIAC Player of the Week Monday by the conference office. 

Helping BU secure five of six points in the MIAC standings, where BU now sits first with 20 points, he added an assist in Saturday's 6-0 win during BU's two-goal third period. 

Westlund now has seven goals on the year to go along with five assists for 12 points. 

The Royals open up the weekend series with Saint Mary's in Winona at 7 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 26
