PREVIEW: No. 4 Seed Royals Will Travel to No. 1 Seed Saint John's in 2025-26 MIAC Men's Hockey Playoff Semifinal

ARDEN HILLS, MINN.—The No. 4 seed Bethel University men's hockey team will travel to No. 1 seed St. John's (Minn.) in the 2025-26 MIAC Men's Hockey Playoff Semifinal at the National Hockey Center at Herb Brooks Arena in St. Cloud, Minnesora on Saturday, February 28 at 7 p.m.  A Royals victory will advance them to the MIAC Men's Hockey Playoff Championship against the winner of No. 2 Gustavus and No. 3 Saint Mary's (Minn.) on Saturday, March 7 at a time and location to be determined.

LAST TIME OUT
Both teams squared off two times in 2025-26. 

The Royals notched a 3-2 victory over the Johnnies at Herb Brooks Arena on December 4. Austin Ryman registered 44 saves in net for Bethel while Tyler Braccini, Joe Kelly, and Joe Westlund each had one goal

Saint John's rebounded with a 6-4 victory over Bethel at the Super Rink on December 5. Two of the Royals' goals in the contest came on the power play, where they finished 2-for-3. Jack Wandmacher and Carter Krenke each scored two goals in the game for Saint John's.

SERIES
The Johnnies lead the series 40-22-8 dating back to 1988-89.

PAY PER VIEW
The 2025-26 MIAC Men's Hockey Playoffs will be streamed live in a pay-per-view format for $10 each viewing. A $25 Championship Pass will allow fans to stream the entire tournament.

TICKETS
All tickets will be sold and purchased online via HomeTown Ticketing. There will be no cash sales. Adult general admission is $13, while student general admission is $4. Children under five receive free admission.
