ST. PAUL, Minn. – Sophomore guard
Colette Duininck dropped a career-high 23 points in Royals' impressive 71-60 win at Hamline Wednesday evening.

The Bethel University women's basketball team led wire-to-wire in the win and had four scores reach double figures. Avenging an earlier loss into the season to the Pipers, they snap a five-game losing streak to Hamline. BU moves to 9-7 overall and 7-4 in MIAC play.

HOW IT HAPPENED
First Half
• Bethel opened the game on an 8-0 run before giving up its first bucket to the Pipers with 6:08 left.
• The Royals led by as many as nine in the first with both teams picking up steam from the field. A three from
Alli Born at the horn gave the Royals an 18-14 advantage after one.

Lauren Johnson ended a three-minute scoring drought that Bethel weathered in the middle of the second quarter.
• Holding Hamline to 25 percent from the field in the second, Bu took a 29-25 lead into the locker room.

Second Half
• Bethel's early scoring came at the free throw line while going on an 8-0 run midway through building a 43-31 lead.
• Duininck capped out a seven-point quarter dialing in from three in the closing seconds of the third giving BU a 49-35 advantage.
• It was Duininck's layup with 8:17 left in the fourth that gave the Royals their largest lead of the night at 51-35.
• The Royals sealed the victory at the line going 9-for-9 in the final 70 seconds.

Colette Duininck's big-time performance came on 7-of-12 shooting, 7-of-8 at the line, and she added a career-high seven rebounds. Â
